Several years ago, we made the first magnetic phone case; then we developed magnetic car mounts, magnetic wireless chargers, magnetic wallets, etc., and eventually built a magnetic ecosystem for phones, the PitaFlow for Phones, which makes our phones easier to use anywhere we go, bringing tremendous convenience like Apple’s MagSafe system. 

Can we make a similar magnetic system for tablets? This question naturally jumped into our minds as we saw people walking around the office with iPads. 

What Do People Do with Their iPads?

Tablets, portable with large displays, have become popular tools for work and study. In a survey we did recently, 66% of people use iPads for work, and 15.1% use them for study. 

Enabling people to use their tablets without restriction and realize their full productivity potential when switching between places is what we aimed at when picturing a magnetic system. 

What is PitaFlow for Tablets?

PitaFlow for Tablets is a system of magnetic accessories that fully integrates with your iPad to let you effortlessly switch devices in different scenarios without affecting your productivity. 

1. Magnetic, Magic Keyboard Compatible iPad Cases

It all began with our ultra-slim, Magic Keyboard Compatible case for iPad Pro. Back then, there’s only one company making iPad Pro cases compatible with Magic Keyboard. Most iPad Pro cases were built for protection instead of productivity. At the very beginning, making Magic Keyboard compatible cases was crystal clear to us. 

Apple’s Magic Keyboard is great but undeniably heavy. There must be times when we carry the iPad Pro without the Magic keyboard. If we use a protective case, then every time before we attach the tablet to the keyboard, we have to take a moment to remove the case. And when we detach it from the keyboard, we have to install the case before leaving the house. Isn’t that troublesome?

MagEZ Case solves the problem of frequently installing and removing the case when using our iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio.

In 2021, we had the MagEZ Case 2, which features stronger magnets arranged to work with our magnetic stands and folios. And in 2022, we created the MagEZ Case Pro for a wireless charging experience for iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro 2022/2021.

2. Rotatable, Magnetic iPad Stands

On the other hand, office workers or editors may need tools other than the Magic Keyboard. The Magic Keyboard turns the iPad Pro into a laptop. What if people want a desktop computer? iPad Pro is so powerful that it can work as a desktop computer or a second monitor with additional accessories. 

To help people set up their iPad Pro as a desktop computer, we came up with the MagEZ Stand. With its raised-mount design, the magnetic iPad stand turns our tablet into a monitor or second screen at a comfortable eye level. The tablet effortlessly attaches to the magnetic iPad mount for a clear view and tidy workspace without unsightly clips or ledges to hold the iPad in place. As a result, every move becomes smoother and easier. Just snap, let go, and we can get down to work. When we need to go, just grab the tablet, slightly pull, and go. In addition, we can easily switch between landscape and portrait modes and even tilt the screen up and down.

In June 2022, we released the MagEZ Charging Stand, which works the same as the MagEZ Stand, except it can “wirelessly” charge the iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro 2021/2022 using the MagEZ Case Pro. That’s right, when the tablet attaches to the stand, charging begins. 

3. The Magnetic, Dual-sided iPad Folio

With those magnetic stands, now working should be easier whether we’re at home or the office. But what about working outdoors and we don’t want to carry too many things?

So we offered the MagEZ Folio. The magnetic iPad folio protects the tablet on the go while working as a tri-fold stand for people to view, draw, or type at the café or anywhere. 

The folio works with iPad Pro 2021/2020/2018 and iPad Air 2020/2022 with or without a MagEZ Case 2. Again, if we use the MagEZ Case 2, we don’t need to move it to fit the folio. 

To meet the needs of different viewing angles, we developed the MagEZ Folio 2. It is a magnetic iPad folio case that offers portrait and landscape modes, allowing for more viewing angles. It is available for iPad Pro 2024/2022/2021/2020/2018 & iPad Air 2024/2022/2020.

4. The Minimalist Carry Bag for iPad with Magic Keyboard

We mentioned above that the Magic Keyboard is heavy. That said, sometimes we must carry it since it can do much more than the iPad Pro. The problem is how to carry it with the iPad Pro. 

Surely it won’t be comfortable to tuck such bulk under our arm. Not to mention how long we need to carry it. And what if we have other items to carry, like keys, wallets, or a mouse?

We had no choice but to use a sizeable bag. Put the Magic Keyboard, iPad Pro, and other stuff in the bag and carry it on our back. That works but it could be better. Therefore, we made the FlipBook Case for iPad with Magic Keyboard.  

It isn’t any conventional bag. It sticks to the Magic Keyboard and works as one piece. When we open the bag, the Magic Keyboard opens too, so we can set up a mini workstation in seconds. When we snap close, the bag, Magic Keyboard, and iPad Pro fold as one, so we don’t need to waste time packing or zipping. Minimalist as it is, it can hold quite some everyday items. And with the magnetic handles, it's easier and more comfortable to carry our Magic Keyboard and iPad around.
